Brett Strode is a 2018 RHP/2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from McFarland, WI who attends Mcfarland HS. Compact athletic build, good present strength, especially in the upper body. Short arm action from a slow paced delivery, low 3/4's arm slot, has deception in his delivery. Steady fastball at 76-78 mph, keeps his fastball down in the zone and gets running and sinking action. Big sweeping curveball has good spin and plenty of depth, has some feel for his change up as well. Throws strikes and has an idea how to mix his pitches and keep hitters off balance. Has the pitches and command to be successful even without gaining additional velocity. Right handed hitter, wide stance, rotational upper body swing, keeps his swing and mechanics short and simple, consistent solid line drive middle of the field contact. Good student.
