Thomas Webster is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-9 195 lb. frame from Ralston, NE who attends Gross Catholic HS. Extra large, extremely long and lean frame with tremendous projection in terms of adding strength to present physicality. Right-handed pitcher, shows relatively simplistic delivery given wingspan and overall limb-length, drives towards the plate with good use of lower half, lands closed off and creates crossfire. Got stronger as game went on. Throws from three quarters arm slot with tight release, fastball worked 79-84 MPH and touched 85 MPH with good arm side life. Was able to command it to both sides of the plate. Shows good feel to elevate the fastball with two strikes. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and quality depth; was able to manipulate the shape of the pitch from a true curveball into a slider look at times. Pitched showed good bite and snap regardless of shape, however. Upside here is extremely high. Named to 2016 West Uncommitted Top Prospect List, excellent student.
