JD Pinion is a 2018 2B/SS with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Corvallis, OR who attends Corvallis HS. On the infield he takes ago first step and approach the ball, threw from different arm angles with accuracy, was confident fielding and throwing on the run. At the plate he stands upright with an active bat and starts the swing with a large gather to the rear leg, leg lift with internal rotation thats creates coiled front side, lands in torqued position. Works up to the ball with quick hips, lower half finishes in strong position, lower half generates bat speed and good barrel path. Great student.
