Zachariah Garcia is a 2017 MIF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Atascadero, CA. Large frame with slender, athletic present build and good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.57 seconds. Sets up to hit from narrow stance, long stride forward into swing with line drive swing plane, gets the head out, good shift into contact with developing strength. Best contact came on a line to the pull field, stays on plane well and extends. Will develop more power with additional strength gains. Bends well for ball in the infield, stays back and keeps balanced, fields cleanly and shows quick release across up to 77 MPH. Pitched as well, uses lower half well in delivery, smooth arm stroke back up to high 3/4 slot. Deliberate-paced delivery, fastball worked 73-77 MPH with some sink at times. showed curveball with depth and slider with occasional tilt.
