Luis Roberto Nunez Franco is a 2018 LHP with a 5-8 152 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends Ana J Candelas. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, works with a steady tempo to delivery, full hand path and compact arm action in back working to a three-quarters arm slot. Short stride down the mound with lower half, topped out at 78 mph with fastball and works mostly arm side, showed occasional sinking life. Has ability to get off speed to glove side, short slider at 69 mph, solid changeup and maintains arm action, late fade at 69 mph. Graded out higher with the bat in this look and performed well, lefthanded hitter with hands pulled back, simple stance in the box. Shows looseness and fluidity in swing, line drive swing plane with feel for the barrel. Quickness to hands and stays short to the ball, creates extension out front and generates nice life off the barrel when squared. Sound mechanics in the outfield, fields the ball out front, very accurate throws with loose and quick arm action, arm strength projects well. Good student.
