Benjamin Guess is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Arcadia, CA who attends Maranatha. Guess has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively he moves to the ball well with athleticism. Guess has good outfield actions with good footwork through release. He throws with a long arm action with good arm strength up to 87 MPH with carry. At the plate, Guess starts with a deeper hand set and has some arm bar action to his swing. He has a hitchy load and he has some bat speed. Guess showed some pop when he squared the ball up and he showed some hitting tools. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with some arm speed. Guess has a loose arm action with a slight cross body delivery. There's more velocity in there with a consistent lower arm slot and some minor adjustments. Interesting player with two-way upside. Good student.
