Brady Lavoie is a 2018 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends La Costa Canyon HS. Lavoie has a lean build with room to fill out and add additional strength. Hits from a square stance with a wide base. Starts with a high hand set and back elbow. Stays balanced through out swing and flashed good bat speed. Showed strength in swing. More consistent power will develop with more weight transfer and better timing, but when on time flashed his power. Defensively, primary OF, long loose arm action with raw arm strength. Has smooth actions to the ball and comes through ball well. Clean transfer and release and ball showed carry. Also pitched, long loose arm action to low 3/4 arm slot. Good arm speed with good extension out front. Mixed in a 11/5 curveball with good spin and depth. Had command of both pitches and showed a third with a sinking change up. Good Student.
