Anthony Garrett is a 2019 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Sherwood, OR who attends Sherwood HS. Very slender young build, minimal present strength but plenty of time to grow. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance and will stay open at times, simple swing mechanics and gets the barrel to the ball well, consistent contact to all fields. Has sound infield actions, tends to wait back on the ball but fields it out front with soft hands, low arm slow with a loose, projectable arm, makes accurate throws and completes the routine play well. Also pitched, some sound fundamentals he has at other phases of the game, good direction and pace to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot with a medium length arm circle. Gets good life on a fastball that topped out at 72 mph, cut a few fastballs with slider depth, good potential pitch. Curveball had good spin. Quality young athlete who just needs to get stronger.
