Dariel Torres is a 2016 OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Baltimore, MD who attends Calvert Hall College HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs, has present strength and room to fill out with additional muscle moving forward. Good athlete, posted a 6.85 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well on feet to the ball and uses a short crow hop to gain momentum, short arm action in the back, solid overall action with arm strength, getting on top of ball will continue to add carry out of hand. Fields the ball out front in the infield, quick transfer with a longer release, extra movement at release but shows range on feet and accuracy to throws. Righthanded hitter, shows simple swing mechanics and sound approach in the box, moves in well with lower half but occasionally gets out front early. Inside path to the ball with a line drive plane, creates contact to all fields and shows carry off the barrel. Projectable tools with good present hand speed.
