Andrew Wang is a 2018 SS/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Newport HS. Slender young build, plenty of room to get stronger. 7.55 runner, quick steps on defense in the middle infield, has some range, good hands especially on his backhand, plays with energy, arm strength still developing. Right handed hitter, crouched open stance, deep hand load, hands tend to get started a bit late to go with longer path, can shorten up, mid to opposite field contact, ball comes off the barrel pretty hard when squared, projects as a hitter with adjustments. Outstanding student.
