Matthew Convers is a 2018 C/ with a 6-1 158 lb. frame from Poolesville, MD who attends Poolesville HS. Young frame, slender build, will continue to put on muscle and fill out as he matures physically. Posted an 8.00 60-yard dash. From behind the plate, receives out front, quick exchange, good arm strength with accuracy. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Small toe tap trigger and arms extend back toward catcher in load. Swings on a line drive swing plane, get the barrel moving quickly through the zone, developing lower half. Has tools that project as he continues to develop. Good student.
