Sam Scully is a 2017 OF/1B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Millennium. XL frame with extremely strong, physically mature build throughout body. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.63 seconds. Sets up to hit with slightly open stance and slight knee bend, good balance, hands set away from body, quick leg lift trigger, shorter and direct stroke, gets barrel through and turns barrel well. Consistently line drive contact with good jump off the barrel, strong to pull field. Worked out defensively in the outfield, fields cleanly out over front side and works through the ball well, transfers well, gets on top of the ball and makes downhill throws to target at 3B and home plate, with throws topping at 83 MPH. Good student.
