Tyler Gibbs is a 2016 C with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from New Britain, CT who attends New Britain HS. Medium, athletic build with a long and lean projectable frame with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, quick and deep transfer into a short arm action, gets on top of throws with accuracy to second, gains some ground with lower half and will continue to develop with more incorporated. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slight crouch in stance and a high hand set and back elbow. Upper body swing, lien drive swing plane with steady contact to pull side. Keeps hands in through swing, uses a small leg lift trigger to get closed at contact, patient approach with some extension out front and ability to use all fields. Good student.
