2016 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Joe Prisco is a 2017 RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Pound Ridge, NY who attends Fox Lane High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg lift up past belt, gets tall on backside and does a nice job of staying on line towards the plate while generating extension out front. Short and quick arm action through the back and works to a high three-quarters arm slot. Gets on top of the ball well and shows ability to get to either side of the plate with consistent heavy life, sinks it down in zone, fastball up to 84 mph. Induced weak ground ball contact with fastball life, held velocity well throughout outing and from the stretch. Maintains arm slot well on changeup, slows arm speed slightly but is able to produce nice tumbling life at 74 mph with slight fade. Curveball developed throughout, will continue to find a consistent feel, shows 11-5 shape when on top with soft depth. Good student. Named to Northeast Top-Top Prospect List.
