Tyler Cacciatori is a 2020 RHP/1B, SS with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Sheridan, AR who attends Sheridan High School. Extra-large, broad shouldered build with present strength proportioned well throughout frame, shows athleticism. Primary righthanded pitcher, high leg lift up above belt with slight coil at top of balance point; high energy delivery and works with a tight and short arm stroke getting to a low three-quarters release point. Short stride down the mound with lower half, does a nice job of generating consistent sinking life to fastball while topping out at 87 mph. Lived down in the zone well and showed running life, can work to either side of the plate and best when working in on hitter's hands. Mixed in an upper-70s slider with with short cut action, 10-4 shape and landed the pitch for strikes. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow stance and a lower hand set; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Upper body dominant swing, stays inside the baseball and shows a linear path, does a nice job of incorporating physical strength, found the barrel and worked the middle of the field with line drive contact coming off. Excellent student. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.
