Brandon Truax is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Gardner, MA who attends Oakmont Regional. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works with a full and whippy arm action through the back with a tight release and high three-quarter arm action. Small side step to begin delivery into high leg lift with a slight hip turn at top, and does a nice job of getting on top of the ball. Generates downhill plane on fastball, topped at 80 mph with short running life to arm side low in the zone. Curveball shows 12-6 depth and has swing and miss potential with depth. Fields the ball out front in the infield, full arm action on throws across, hands work at the ball, consistent accuracy. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance and has a small toe tap trigger. Long swing but quick to ball, hands work in swing and uses a middle of the field approach. Line drive swing plane with line drive contact off the barrel. Good student.
