Pedro Martinez is a 2017 3B/SS with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Patillas, PR. Large, well-built frame with athletic strength throughout and good projection remaining on frame. Posted a 7.34 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits with hands set high above back shoulder, toe tap trigger, swings hard with aggressive approach, hitches hands deep into load, incomplete weight shift that takes away from bat speed, gets bat head out at times with solid barrel turn, pull-field approach with some jump off barrel, will leak front hip open and cut off swing. Showed very well defensively both during drills and in game. Quick feet with good first step, range to both sides with athleticism, made several diving plays in game, controls body well, fields cleanly and transfers well from glove to hand, has solid arm strength with accuracy, IF velocity topped out at 78 MPH.
