Daniel Botti is a 2016 RHP with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Middletown, CT who attends Middletown HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable frame with room to continue to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, hides the ball well at hand break and through the back before coming to high three-quarter release point. Deliberate tempo to delivery, has some moving parts but remains online with good direction towards the plate. Fastball topped at 81 mph, showed nice arm side run when down in the zone and gets on hitters quickly. Shows sound command and throws strikes to either side of the plate. Pitches off fastball, utilizes slider as out pitch, shows short depth at 76 mph with 10-4 shape. Flashed a changeup at 77 mph, maintained arm speed well with fade down to arm side. Good student.
