Will McCoy is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-7 240 lb. frame from Ellisville, MS who attends West Jones HS. Extra large and tall build, long limbs, good present strength. Smooth delivery for his size and repeats it well, high 3/4's arm slot with good extension to the plate from a compact arm action, hides the ball well from hitters and has some deception. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets on hitters quickly, has some arm side run at times. Curveball has good depth and rotational, maintains his arm speed on it well, has some sharp sweeping action. Tends to slow arm on change up a bit but has feel for the pitch and good life. Three solid pitches and an idea how to use them, along with having the deception and size as a left hander. Should continue to improve. Good student.
