Austin Barry is a 2019 C/RHP/1B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Langham Creek HS. Recorded a 7.40 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a compact build and some present strength to the frame. Primary catcher with arm strength recorded up to 72 mph and a best pop time of 1.95. Gains ground well if not a bit open and has a clean exchange to the throwing hand. Some raw catch and throw skills and can improve with a bit more consistency. Secondary outfielder where the arm strength plays well as it was recorded up to 87 mph with good carry out of the hand. Full arm stroke and made accurate throws into the infield. Righthanded hitter with a simple stride into contact and flashes some strength through the point of extension. Contact oriented swing path with a line drive swing plane. Good student.
