Drake Pierson is a 2017 2B/3B, RHP, SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who is Home Schooled. Pierson has a medium build with broad slopping shoulders, hits from a square stance with a wide base. Starts with high hands with a short line drive swing plane with lift at contact. Shows good extension through the ball with good pull side contact. Also pitched. side step wind up with a leg lift to belt. Hands tend to separate late for his long circular arm action. Fastball showed cut when down in zone and slider had two plane tilt. Also mixed in 12/6 curveball that flashed depth. Worked from a high 3/4 arm slot. Good Student.
