Joel Claudio is a 2023 RHP/ with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Jose Collazo Colon HS. Medium frame with some physicality and room to add more strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a compact delivery and good use of the lower half. Drop and drive lower half actions with a full arm circle and a high three-quarters slot. Repeats well and has some jump out of the hand on the fastball that topped out at 81 mph. Maintains arm speed and velocity well. Flashed a breaking ball but relied mostly on the fastball. Right-handed hitter with a narrow open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Downhill swing plane with an upper half dominant stroke. Pull side heavy approach. Great student.
