Christian Lopez is a 2017 MIF/OF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Cypress Lakes HS. Compact frame, slender build with room to fill out. Primary infielder, solid actions and instincts in both workouts and games. Charges the ball well, fields the ball out in front, could implement more lower half and stronger frontside in throwing mechanics. Showed solid body control and quick release on slow rollers. Right handed hitter, wide base with quiet hands and load. Contact-oriented approach, shows looseness and fluidity in swing. Developing bat speed and strength, has some feel for handling the barrel and using the entire field. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Good student.
