John "JP" Propst is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Pace Academy. Tall and lean athletic build, plenty of room to fill out and get stronger. Simple on line delivery, good rhythm and tempo and repeats his mechanics well, tight 3/4's arm slot, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight, throws his fastball for consistent strikes. Sweeping curveball has good arm speed and occasional depth. Got good fading action on his change up but tended to shorten his arm action and tip the pitch. Right handed hitter, has a big stride into contact and gets to his front side, long and loose swing and bat speed that will improve with additional strength. Exceptional student.
