2003 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Soper is an "04" RHP/INF. At 5'11/172 he has a medium build and looks strong. He projects as a 2B at the next level. He shows some arm strength and good hands defensively, He does not run extra well, but he knows what he's doing on the bases. He showed a nice swing and the ball really jumps off his bat. On the mound he topped out in the mid 70s with a very good, but slow curve ball. He throws out of a high slot and his best feature is he can really fill the zone with all his pitches. Brett is an outstanding student.
