Garrett Parcell is a 2017 SS/2B/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Cedar Park, TX who attends Leander HS. Medium athletic build, plenty of room to get stronger. 6.85 runner, has athletic actions in the infield on defense and a quick first step, advanced footwork going to his left, charges the ball well, too, as the arm strength to make the play from the hole, has the tools and skills to play shortstop at the next level. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a good shift into contact, gets to his front side and hits the ball out front, pretty fluid swing, projects with additional strength. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot from an upright release, some effort. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets on top of his curveball well with a shortened arm arch. Good all around athlete who should keep improving. Good student.
