Drew Winegardner is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Libertyville, IL who attends Vernon Hills. Medium athletic frame with projection. Slightly open stance with toe tap trigger. Compact load with a loose fluid path to ball. Will drift to front side but maintains good balance throughout swing. Game swing was consistent with BP approach with solid mid field contact. Has a projectable swing and will develop with strength. Clean actions with range to both side in the infield and continued momementum into throws. Accurate throws across with high 3/4 arm action and good carry with some present arm strength. Good student as well.
