Josh Froese is a 2016 RHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Abbotsford, BC who attends Yale Secondary School. Tall and slender build, projects well physically, lots of room to get stronger. Good hip turn to start delivery, stays balanced well, creates angle from an extended 3/4's arm slot, repeats delivery well and is able to power the ball downhill. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, more velocity in there with additional strength, gets good life on his fastball and can work it to the glove side consistently. Best curveballs get 11/5 depth and good spin, will get on the side of it at times for more of a sweeping break, showed good feel for his curveball. Flashed a hard change up with some fading action. Works quickly and pounds the zone and got lots of quick outs. Just a matter of getting stronger for him to take the next step, all the ingredients are there. Good student.
