Dylan Porter is a 2016 RHP/SS with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Piedmont, CA who attends Piedmont HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Rotational delivery from a tall leg lift, drop and drive mechanics, compact mid 3/4's arm action. Low 80's fastball topped out at 83 mph, gets very good running and sinking life at times, effective pitch when working down in the strike zone, tends to straight when up in the zone, can pitch off his fastball with the movement and get ground balls. Tends to slow his arm on both his curveball and change up, will get some depth on his curveball especially at lower velocities. Improvement of his off-speed pitches will be key to his development. Right handed hitter, hits from a deep hand load, level line drive swing with some back side collapse at contact.
