Zack Smith is a 2017 C/3B with a 5-11 178 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends Lexington High School. Medium build and frame with present athleticism and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.28 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed a quick transfer and gained ground well with a pop time of 2.03. At the plate, starts open with a high hand set, high back elbow and a leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing path with hand quickness to the ball. Would do well to incorporate lower half more to generate more leverage in swing. Exceptional student.
