Jaydon Berry is a 2018 RHP/SS with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Turners Station, KY who attends Henry County. Medium-large frame with athletic, highly projectable present build. Primary righthanded pitcher; uptempo delivery, high take back with elevated wrap through back of arm stroke, gets to high three quarters slot release and can create downhill plane. Big leg lift and coil back over rubber, gets online with hips through drive. Showed ability to drop to sidearm at times. Fastball worked anywhere from 78-83 mph depending on arm slot; generates very good arm side life with some sink to bottom of zone as well. Showed a pair of breaking balls. Curveball worked in mid-60's with 11/5 shape and quality depth; adept at throwing the pitch for strikes. Flashed slider as well with good, late bite--slider is the swing-and-miss pitch of his repertoire. Mixed and matched all three pitches effectively and was deceptive in changing arm angles. Very good student, named to 2017 Ohio Valley Showcase Top Prospect List.
