Shamir M Morales Rodriguez is a 2017 C with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from San Lorenzo, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Academy HS. Compact athletic build with good present strength, especially in his lower half. Shows very quick actions behind the plate, shifts his feet quickly with good balance, very quick transfer and release, 1.83 best pop time, stood out for his tools defensively. Right handed hitter, tall open stance, leg lift trigger with a short shift into contact, short swing with tight hands, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields and gets some jump off the barrel, swings hard and looks to impact the ball. Very good student.
