JJ Ferguson is a 2017 2B/SS, RHP, OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Sandwich, MA who attends Sandwich. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build and good physical projection remaining on frame. Hits from spread, crouched stance and coils hip inward into load, drives backside into contact well but hips remain stationary, generates good bat speed with line drive swing plane and solid barrel control, up the middle approach with ability to spray liners all over the field. Attacked the ball well defensively, moving to it well and fielding cleanly, showed ability to throw accurately across the diamond from multiple arm angles with IF velocity topping at 76 MPH. Pitched as well, showing long arm action up to 3/4 slot, medium-effort delivery, spine tilt back and drives downhill, gets on top of FB and keeps it down in zone, velocity worked 74-76 with some arm side run. Showed CB with 11/5 shape, some two-plane tilt at times. Flashed CH with good fade down in zone, good command of 3 pitches. Good student.
