Kyle Conley is a 2018 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Tall and lean frame with plenty of room to add strength and body to mature. On the mound has tempo to wind up, leg kick to waist, compact arm action, finishes with extension and high 3/4 release point. Worked two pitch mix of fastball at 77 to 81 touching 82 and curveball at 70 miles per hour. Got around the fastball at times causing some cut action and was able to throw his tight 1/7 curveball when he got ahead in the count. In the outfield he moved well through the ball, confident with the glove, fluid transfers and threw accurately to the bag. At the plate he stands tall, narrow width and slightly open. Starts swing with weight shift into rear hip, leg lift, stride separation, lands in strong high launch above the shoulder, has a good path and bat speed. Great student. Named to 2016 South Underclass Top Prospect List.
