Dan Albright is a 2018 RHP/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Guilderland, NY who attends Christian Brothers Academy. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build and good physical projection remaining on frame. Primary pitcher, hands over head into delivery, stands tall on backside and drives well to the plate, shorter stride and gets over front side, generates some extension out front, high 3/4 slot, FB worked 68-73 with slight cutting action and good command of strike zone, showed 11/5 CB with solid depth and spin, did good job displaying rhythm and tempo in delivery, threw both pitches for strikes and worked quickly. Hits with high hand set, toe tap trigger, inside-out swing path with intent to hit ball on a line to opposite field, big stride into contact, solid bat speed, made consistent contact on a line to all fields, will develop more power with added strength. Stayed down on the ball well in the infield, fielding cleanly and showed quick transfer and release, throwing accurately across the diamond with IF velocity topping at 73 MPH. Good student.
