Gabe Hernandez is a 2020 RHP/MIF, OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Trinity, NC who attends Wheatmore HS. Recorded a 6.91 second 60-yard dash time. Very lean frame with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a loose and easy arm action. Some wrap and length to the arm but repeats it well with low effort. High leg lift above the belt with extension down the mound with good direction. Three-quarters arm slow with extended release. Can create plane on the fastball up to 84 mph. Works to both sides of the plate well. Flashed a short changeup as well. Secondary outfielder with smooth fielding actions. Very good carry on throws with arm strength recorded up to 84 mph. Carries weight well through release. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set and high back elbow. Upright stance and a downhill plane to contact. Contact-oriented approach with a patient approach as well. Line drive swing path. Great student.
