2015 West Coast Underclass Showcase
Noah Gilder is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Sherman Oaks, CA who attends Brentwood. Compact frame, young athletic build with plenty of room to fill out. Right handed hitter, wide base with slight crouch. Knee lift trigger, rotational upper body swing, shows solid hands and some feel for using the barrel. Best and most consistent contact to the middle of the field, creates extension out in front of the plate, developing bat speed and strength. Quick feet and first step in the outfield, moves well to the ball. Could work through and utilize lower half more consistently in throwing mechanics, shorter arm-action through the backside, gets on top of the ball for accurate throws. Good student.
