Ryan Hansen is a 2006 3B/2B/OF from Collins Hill High School in Lawrenceville, GA, with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame. Hansen is a lean and athletic player who ran a sub-7.00 sixty on a slow and wet track. His quickness and athleticism also play out defensively where he shows good range and body control at third base. Hansen has soft hands and will be a good defensive player at the next level. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who really turns on the ball with good bat speed. Hansen is an aggressive hitter who attacks the ball and looks to drive the gaps. He manages to stay balanced through his swing and gets leverage at contact which helps produce power that will continue to improve. Hansen showed a good knowledge of the game and situations, and he competes. He is an athletic player with upside, and is a good student as well.
