Lee Verweel is a 2006 left handed pitcher/first baseman from Malvern Collegiate in Toronto, Canada, with a tall and lean 6'4"/185 pound frame. On the mound, Lee pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with clean and easy arm action and very good arm speed. He is effortless in his balanced and online delivery and has very good command of his pitches. Verweel throws an 86 mph fastball that he spots well and a 12-6 small breaking curveball at 74 mph. He maintains his velocity from the stretch and fields his position well. As a left handed hitter, Lee hits from an upright stance with a toe tap trigger. He showed a good approach with slight lift in his swing and good raw power. Verweel has a projectable body and strength and is a must follow.
