Antonio Quinones is a 2017 SS with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Mallard Creek HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength moving forward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, hands play at the ball and makes the play, upright release with upper body, quick transfer and shows a quick arm through the backside, accurate throws across diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set away from body and high back elbow in the box. Aggressive approach at the plate with a short swing path to the ball Has strength in forearms and detects spin well out of pitcher's hand, shows ability to hit to all fields and go with the pitch.
