Cole Jones is a 2018 1B/3B, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Large frame with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.36 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with smooth, clean footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and works through exchange well. Flashed very athletic footwork while pivoting to throw to second base. Showed quality arm strength while throwing across the infield topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Simple, direct path to contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Stays very balanced throughout swing with solid fluidity to finish. Present bat speed and strength, consistently drove the ball to all fields creating hard, loud contact. Very good student. Named to the 2017 West Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
