Brady Barnes is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends Decatur HS. Recorded a 7.14 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a three-quarter arm slot and good arm speed. Crossfire landing and gets over the front side well. Wraps a bit on the changeup and raises slot a bit on the pitch. Works to the arm side with the fastball well with a soft stab in the back of a full arm path. Fastball up to 86 mph and throws with intent. Repeats the delivery well and follows through nicely. Fights the front side a bit upon landing and curveball has consistent 11/6 shape with some depth. Confidence in the changeup and throws it with a similar arm speed to the fastball. Can throw the breaking ball for strikes and maintains velocity well. Projects nicely on the mound. Righthanded hitter with a big load and weight shift. Swings hard with intent and can drive the ball well up the middle. Upright and open stance with a curled in trigger. Short swing with an element of explosiveness. Named to the 2017 Southeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
