Basiel Williams is a 2018 OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Hammond, LA who attends Ponchatoula HS. Very athletic build with lots of physical projection. 6.59 runner, moves well in the outfield with easy athletic actions, footwork still young throwing the ball, has plenty of natural arm strength to grow with adjustments. Switch-hitter, very similar swings from both sides with a big better bat speed from the right side, loose and long line drive swing, tends to pull off at times left handed, spray contact to all fields. Outstanding athlete who will improve with more and more baseball repetitions. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
