Dalton Cook is a 2020 C/MIF, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Long Beach, MS who attends Long Beach HS. Recorded a 7.09 second 60-yard dash time. Lean athletic build with a medium overall frame and room for additional strength. Primary catcher with a tall, even stance. Quick exchanges and a short arm action. Three-quarters slot on release with good carry to the bag. Impressive metrics of 76 mph across and very quick pop time of 1.83 seconds. Righthanded hitter with an even, crouched stance. Simple trigger into contact with a rotational lower half. Swings with intent. Direct hand path with a level, line drive swing plane. Gap to gap approach with quick hands. Can work with a good line drive approach to all fields. Tremendous student. Named to the 2017 Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
