Sam Cox is a 2017 SS/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Sikeston, MO who attends Sikeston Sr. HS. Large frame, athletic build, clear sign of present strength and maturity. Ran a 6.68 60-yard dash, moves well. At shortstop, moves through the baseball well, athletic actions, good glove work, solid lateral range, short quick 3/4 arm action, accurate throws across, good arm strength. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a crouched stance. Arms extend back on load, middle of the field approach, strength in swing, developing lower half, natural lift at the point of contact, good feel at the plate. Outstanding student.
