Brandon West is a 2020 1B/OF with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Mission Viejo, CA who attends Junipero Serra. Extra big and strong build, pretty mature physically. Left handed hitter, hits from a closed stance with good lower and upper half coordination into his swing, shifts into contact well, very aggressive swing approach and is looking to impact and drive the ball, showed huge power potential when he got extended and was on time, tends to hit around balls on the inside half although he has no issues getting to them. Plus-plus strength shows in his swing and bat speed, just needs more consistency in his ability to square up the ball. Plays both first base and outfield defensively. Good student.
