Edwin Barba is a 2017 3B/ with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Clifton, NJ who attends Clifton. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 40 yard dash in 5.08 seconds. Sets up to hit from closed off stance with medium hand set, barrel tips into load and will occasionally stride outwards. Shifts well into contact, bars some at top of load, shows solid jump off the barrel when squared up, has the ability to work to all fields. Worked out defensively in the infield, waits back on the ball and lines it up, takes quick steps with efficiency in footwork, fundamentals overall are solid. Fields cleanly and gets into crow hop, showed strong arm across the diamond with good carry, clocked up to 84 MPH. Good student.
