Derek Grzysiewicz is a 2016 2B/OF, 3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Dayville, CT who attends Killingly HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and present strength, some room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields with a wide base and out front, short and compact arm action, gets on top of throws, lower slot release, accurate throws across the diamond. Leftt-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a slightly open stance with a small stride into contact. Medium hand set, upper body swing with a line drive swing plane, barrel stays in the zone well and showed a feel for it at contact. Looks to lift and shows carry when squared to pull side. Very good student.
