Rajan Sampat is a 2018 C/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Primary catcher, side saddle start with good foot quickness. Showed good accuracy with arm strength up to 76 mph and a workout pop time of 2.01. At the plate, started with a balanced stance, even base, high bak elbow, and a quick front side trigger. Loose and extended hand path to contact with a middle of the field approach. Naturally lofted plane with develop feel to drive the ball. Will continue to improve at the plate with additional strength and lower half drive. Also pitched, created good deception, long, loose arm action, crossfire element, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Fastball worked around the zone at 75-80 mph with mostly true life and heaviness to the lower third. Slider showed 10/4 shape with late snap at 68 mph and got it over for strikes.
