Jonathan Beymer is a 2017 RHP/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Hopkinsville, KY who attends Hopkinsville HS. Has medium build with a lean frame, has room to fill out and add strength to frame. Medium arm action to 3/4 arm slot. Arm action is clean and quick. Delivery has effort at release point. Gets to good balance point with a slight hip turn. Gets hips turned a little to much and causes some early rotation before the front foot gets down. Knows how to use lower body well to create drive and leverage toward plate. Flashed good depth and feel for 12/6 curveball that has swing and miss action. Kept hitters off balance with good two pitch mix, never got squared up. At the plate, starts with a wide base with a slight knee bend to start. Aggressive swing plane with good inside hand path. Has feel for barrel and with results to mid and opposite field. Good Student. Named to Top Prospect List.
